Grand Theft Auto 5
Rockstar have been keeping the next release of the popular series very very quiet!
If you ever come acorss some news about it, post it here as were anxiously waiting.
I suspect any release wont be until 2012 now.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Yeah probably wont release until late 2011 or early 2012. I watched a excellent video a while back showing all of the hidden messages in GTA IV about the next GTA basically it was saying no more Liberty City next game is likely to have Vice City.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Possibly. I enjoyed San Andreas the most. Really liked its balance of city/countryside and abilities e.g Fly planes.
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
if i see anything i'll post it . depending on Nostradamus prediction of the world experiencing an astronomical disaster, i might just purchase it when it's released.
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
I certainly hope we get the new GTA in 2011 not heard anything but I think there's a good chance.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Its been ever so quiet about the next GTA. If we dont hear any news soon i will be doubting a 2011 release.
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Still no new info on this thus i think were fast approaching a release that wont be in this year. I thinki the last few games have been brought out about April-June time??? so im going to have a guess at about a May 2012 release.
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
They usually always release it around October time so I'm still hoping to see some sort of news soon but if there isn't any news by Easter time this year chances are very low of it coming out.
GTA IV was meant to come out in October 2007 but got held back to April 2008.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
That would of been why i was thinking April time then. So yes it could even be a late 2012 release.
To Rockstar, this had better be worth the wait by the time it comes out! Lol.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Some rather insignificant news released on the 25th February 2011 at www.gtav.net but perhaps the first few signs of the new game beginning to show light to the rest of the world.
"According to reports, Rockstar Games has recently registered new website domains that sound like they could belong to GTA 5's in-game Internet (assuming GTA V has an in-game Internet, as GTA IV did). The domains are: CashForDeadDreams.com, SixFigureTemps.com, StopPayingYourMortgage.net, HammersteinFaust.com, and LifeInvader.com. If they were indeed registered for GTA V's in-game Internet, then it suggests that the game is set in relatively modern times, since the World Wide Web only became popular in the mid-1990s. Some have speculated that CashForDeadDreams could be a parody of Cash4Gold (or Cash For Clunkers?), that HammersteinFaust is a parody of Goldman Sachs, and that LifeInvader is a parody of LifeLock, or even possibly Facebook."

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Sound interesting maybe we will see a website up with some news and a trailer over the next few months? Would be great and even better it the game came out this year probably near the end. Still could happen yet.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Wouldnt rule it out though news would have to be coming thick and fast soon. A release in 2012 is probably more likely though. I cant wiat that long! Lol.
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Nothing big but perhaps some signs of a 2012 release:

What does Rockstar's new deal with Take-Two mean for Grand Theft Auto 5?
GTA 5 wasn't mentioned in the latest Take-Two investor call, but CEO Strauss Zelnick did announce the extension of Rockstar's current deal and hinted that "a very strong pipeline of titles in development" would boost earnings next year.
"If we look at Rockstar’s track record over the last 24 months, they seem dedicated on owning the month of May (Red Dead and L.A. Noire). Of course, the last GTA was launched in April." EEDAR's Jesse Divnich told NowGamer.
“The most ideal schedule for Rockstar, would be a Max Payne release in May 2012; GTA V November 2012”
GTA 5 will likely launch in either May or November next year, according to the analyst.
"Personally, I’d go with November 2012. The market has been so over-saturated with FPS that there is and will be considerable demand for sandbox action based titles for the next 3 years.
"That being said, I believe that GTA V would substantially crush any competitors within its holiday window. If I could create the most ideal schedule for Rockstar, it would be a Max Payne release in May 2012; GTA V in November 2012."
Expect to hear details on Max Payne 3 next from Rockstar, or check out our GTA V rumour round-up for more.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
Some new additional minor information:
"Rockstar is hard at work on Grand Theft Auto V, with a 2012 release "pretty likely".
That's according to "sources close to" the developer, who reportedly told GameSpot that development is "well under way", with final touches like mini-games already being applied.
"It's the big one," they also said of the game, noting that GTA V's scale is vast. Repeated rumours suggest the game will be set in real world Los Angeles.
The evidence is certainly building towards a reveal for GTA V anytime soon. The first signs of the game crept online in February via an actor's CV, and were quickly followed by some suspicious Rockstar-registered URLs."

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5
I wish we would have some news on this soon!
I bought GTA San Andreas on the download version for the 360 the other day which was on offer for just 800 Microsoft points or roughly £7/8.
